Wolves Forwards Lead the Way

August 21, 2012

The Sudbury Wolves have three forwards tied for 8th in tournament scoring at the JUNIOR CLUB WORLD CUP being held in Omsk, Siberia.

MICHAEL KANTOR, 20, JOSH LEIVO, 19, and SAM SCHUTT, 18, are all tied for 8th in tournament scoring with 3 points each after the first two games.  KANTOR is a native of New York City and the overage candidate is playing well and making a case for himself with his superlative play and all-out effort.  JOSH LEIVO, 19, is showing the outstanding skill that made the Barrie native a 3rd round draft selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs.  SCHUTT, 18, is having an excellent tournament playing along side of rookie European prospects DOMINIK KUBALIK and DOMINIK KAHUN. The line has created some excellent scoring chances for themselves thanks to their overall speed and skill. The Wolves will be looking to gain some offensive production from other sources as well as they prepare for their third game of the tournament versus Denmark.
