The Sudbury Wolves and the Soo Greyhounds met at the Sudbury Arena on Friday night for the next installment of the Bell Challenge Cup.  The Soo Greyhounds jumped out to the early lead and went on to win by a final score of 7 - 3.

The Greyhounds were the first to score with Brandon Alderson's marker at 15:30 of the first period.  The Wolves were quick to respond, just 7 second later, when NICHOLAS BAPTISTE (NATHAN PANCEL, MICHAEL KANTOR) scored his 5th goal of the season.  Just over a minute later, Andrew Fritsch scored on the powerplay for the Greyhounds to give them the 2 - 1 lead heading into the first intermission.

At the midway point of the second period, Corey Durocher and Nick Cousins scored 13 seconds apart for the Greyhounds for a commanding 4 - 1 lead.  Wolves starting netminer JOHAN MATTSSON was replaced by JOEL VIENNEAU after the Hounds 4th goal.  Just under two minutes later, DEREK SCHOENMAKERS (PANCEL, MICHAEL SGARBOSSA) netted his 17th marker of the season to bring the Wolves within 2.  The Greyhounds regained their 3 goal lead with a marker from Ryan Sproul to close out the frame.

The Greyhounds added goals from Fritsch and Carson Dubchak early in the third period before rookie BAPTISTE scored his second goal of the night on an impressive individual effort.  That was all the scoring from the Wolves as they went on to lose the contest by a final score of 7 - 3.

MATTSSON and VIENNEAU combined to make 27 saves on the night, while Greyhounds netminder Jack Campbell made 31 saves for the win.

Wolves rookies NICHOLAS BAPTISTE and NATHAN PANCEL earned the game's third star, and Dickies Hardest Working Player award respectively.

The Wolves will now close out the weekend on the road as they travel to Peterborough on Saturday for a matchup with the Petes before finishing up in Brampton on Sunday afternoon.
